A short while ago I backed up the site to upgrade to wordpress 2.0 which is what we have to do to keep up in this ever faster world in which we live. Now I have to re-backup the database before I can start otherwise I’ll loose a load of entries. This is a pain, and I’m wondering if it’s worth all the agro. This version (1.5) is working perfectly well. A point to ponder.

Another potential tweak, which might end up as a royal pain, is the overall design of the site. Should I carry on using wordpress for the whole site, or change back to a static site and use wordpress for blogging? Perhaps I’ll roll dice. Or if I win the lottery this weekend I’ll employ someone to make these decisions for me. Hmm.

These questions have me mildly worried, though not enough to demand Valium. Yet.

Annoying someone via the Internet is now a federal crime.

It’s no joke. Last Thursday, President Bush signed into law a prohibition on posting annoying Web messages or sending annoying e-mail messages without disclosing your true identity.

This is getting ridiculous. Orwellian. Frightening.

We have a strict ‘No Shooting Wildlife’ policy, that the Cats find quite refreshing. Or so they tell me; generally while licking their chops.
B finds it very upsetting that they eat anything other than Felix ‘As good as it gets’. I then point out that to the Cats, Mice really are ‘As good as it gets’; and not pouched possy food at £4.00 a box. This is one of those conversations that takes place on a regular basis.
