Alastair Crowley’s Curse
I feel I should ‘get with the program’ and voice a comment on this bloody Aleister Crowley business.
Apparently our song ‘One Voice’ contains an antidote to the curse Crowley placed on Hastings in East Sussex (UK). Kamakura is based in Hastings and so, I suppose, we have a vested interest in not suffering by the hand of Crowley. I would like to add that I think he was a self obsessed and begrudging seeker of celebrity and it pains me to have to talk about him here; I think he’s had enough fame for one lifetime.
Some of our fans have told me that playing this track brings them good fortune, and for this I thank them from the bottom of my heart as it means they’re listening to our music … and what more can any musician ask?
If we were seeking publicity I would have rather gone a different route, but as they say “any publicity is good publicity” and I suppose I should be grateful.
There it is!
All my love, Mick.

It certainly worked for me. Not only did I win the lottery but I lost all that extra weight that was hampering my sex life.
Many thanks Kamakura!

Sounds a bit like a setup to me. I think that it’s probably one of the band hyping it up. Lets see shall we?

Listening to a song to lift a curse, win money, get sex and feel happy? Hmmm…sounds rather a lot like Black Magic to me. Which comes from the Devil and leads you to HELLFIRE!
So come on Kamakura, drop the satanic secular music, and start playing good healthy Christian music instead. All you need is a tamborine and an acoustic guitar. Who needs good songs when you can be lifted by the Lord?
And what does “Koombayah” mean anyway?
